This year as always I have applied to Mediehøjskolen (Danish School of Media and Journalism) for Graphic Design line and finally made it through to admission test. Unfortunately I haven’t got in this year, but I am planning to finally get in next time!
Last week I was at Mediehøjskolen for feedback meeting for people who didn’t get in, which was great because we got to see traditional assignments and digital. The teachers from Mediehøjskolen went through what we did and what we could have done better. It was good to get that feedback and learn what is expected from us.
My traditional stuff was apparently my best part, while my digital assignment could have been much better.
Here they are:
Assignment 1 - illustrate a poem and emphasize the title
Assignment 2 - creativity assignment: illustrate a heart in 20 different ways
Assignment 3 – make 3 book covers for Twilight: one focusing on author, one focusing on the story and one typographic cover.

Jeg skal til Mediehøjskolens optagelsesprøve d. 2.-3. maj, og jeg ville høre dig hvilken størrelse plakaten skulle være, i den første, analoge, opgave hvor man skal “klippe-klistre” – bare så man ved hvilken slags papir man skal have med.

Den “traditionel” var på A4 – og den hvor man skal tegne en masse forskellige hjærter var nok 5-6 cm hver. Men du skal ikke regne med at det bliver samme denne år, de ændrer det jo fra år til år, men jeg tvivler på at man skal lave noget som er større end det.
